Justification of the OEE

Economic justification of the OEE

Also called the 1% effect of the OEE. Suppose that a product whose cost is 1 dollar is manufactured. Assuming also that 1000 units per hour can be produced, a 1% improvement of the OEE, will generate a saving of 50 dollars every hour. That is, 1200 dollars of savings every 24 hours (generated in 3 shifts of 8 hours each).

If we work 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, we would generate savings of more than $ 300,000 per year.

Without measuring the OEE in Real Time, companies, on average, have an OEE of 60%. With the XL Lean Tool, a 10% improvement in 3 months is completely realistic. The Ideal is 85% or more. Imagine the possibilities.
